Highly respected Nepali Sarangi master- Shyam Nepali- visits the studio with his friends Sushil Gautam and Rajan Bhudathoki and join us in the studio for an evening of cross cultural music dialog, This episode features just the music that we recorded on this visit with us on December 15th 2017.

This project is an experimental multi-instrument video using traditional Nepali instrument, for example, Nepali Sarangi, Dhime and bell. Special thanks to Shyam Nepali dai who is the pioneer of Nepali folk music and one of the best Sarangi player in the whole world.

Tenzin Choegyal met Shyam Nepali in Kirtipur an ancient city in Nepal located in the Kathmandu Valley late September 2014 only for a day. Instantly they connected through music and spend that whole afternoon making music.

Shyam Nepali is one of the most well known sarangi players in Nepal. I met him in Kathmandu, where he showed his talent for the Global Talent Project.
